BIO

Edward Wesley Houy, Jr. was born October 3, 1931, in San Antonio, Texas.

A retired Colonel with the U.S. Army, Ed was an outstanding officer (Quartermaster)

who received many service medals, awards and served twice in Vietnam.

He married Annerose Gastl October 12, 1957 in Stadtbergen, Goethestrasse.

At the age of 57 and serving 22 years in the army career he retired to Sunrise Beach Texas in 1975

moving from Washington, D.C.  with his wife Ann .

During his time in Sunrise Beach Village, he served as mayor for 16 years.  In addition, he was very active

in book writing, genealogy, woodworking, fishing and traveling to places he hadn't seen.

The road from San Antonio to the Pentagon to Sunrise Beach had been long and eventful.

Is it any wonder Ed Houy found an escape writing science fiction?

On March 24, 1998, Ed passed away.

May his books inspire and give others the vision that there just may be something beyond our planet Earth.
